  We drove to Estes Park and then into Rocky Mountain National Park for a hike from Bear Lake (elevation 9,475 feet) to Mills Lake (9,950 feet).

The hike was 5.6 miles
   round trip.

Dinner was at Chez Thuy with Kevin and Ferruh, former colleagues of Rick who recently relocated to Colorado.

Later, we went to a social gathering of one of the outdoors clubs
that Brenda belongs to.
A couple showed slides
of their six-month teaching stint
in China.
