- Garmisch and the Romantic Castles -- We based our route on this tour offered by a British company, Bents Bicycle & Walking Tours.
- Oberbayern Munchen bike map -- We bought this 1:150,000 map (#26 in the official map set of the national German bicycling organization Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club) from Omni Resources in the United States. It came with a list of "Bett & Bike" places to stay. We thought this map would be the only one we'd need, but it turned out to be lacking in certain details, and we found more detailed local maps along the way. None of the maps appeared to distinguish between paved and unpaved surfaces on bike paths.
- Adventure Cycling Association -- a great resource for bicycle travel of all kinds. The organization's Cyclists' Yellow Pages has these listings for Germany.
- Bicycle Germany -- lots of good information from a U.S. couple who have toured all over Germany by bike.
- German National Tourist Board -- good biking info.
