Thursday, Sept. 22 -- Tioga Pass into Yosemite National Park -- 46 miles 
From Lee Vining, we gained elevation quickly:
about 3,100 feet in approximately 12 miles.

Tioga Road

Highest elevation of the trip, 9,945 feet -- Yosemite National Park entrance at Tioga Pass
Continuing west, we paused by the Dana Fork
of the Tuolomne River to look back
at Mount Dana and Mount Gibbs.
After lunch at the Lembert Dome picnic area
and a long look around Tuolomne Meadows,
we backtracked to Lee Vining.

We didn't see any bighorn sheep, except for this

Mono Lake
