Friday, Sept. 15

  Off-and-on heavy rain (and a bit of hail) thwarted our plans to bike or hike in Durango.


We watched trains depart
on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
and went to the railroad museum.


We finished getting
our bikes and gear ready
for our bike tour,
 to start the next day.
 Late in the day, the sky cleared and we walked
 on the city's bike path along the Animas River,
 and ate on the patio at China Cafe.

Then we went  to a movie,
 "Little Miss Sunshine,"
and had a beer at
Carver Brewing Co.
