We took the subway to BUGA,
short for Bundesgartenschau, the national garden and landscape show, which
was at a former airport on the outskirts of Munich. The kids had been there
before, but BUGA has more than one day's worth of things to see and do.

Simon especially liked the "Dunkel" (Dark), run by a blind people's
organization. You enter a trailer in complete darkness, as if you are blind,
and navigate through a hallway into a cafe where you can order refreshments
from blind servers. |

We ate dinner at Running Sushi,
an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant. Little plates of food go by the
tables on conveyor belts and you take what you want, until your hour is
up.
