Onsen heaven
We returned to Okunoyu in
the morning but the onsen was closed for cleaning. The same young
woman was at the desk and we had another nice chat. She said her favorite
onsen was Ikoi Ryokan,
because it's deep, so we went there. It was wonderful. We had the large
outdoor pool to ourselves, with a view of a natural waterfall in the river,
and long streams of falling water to massage your shoulders, and a fragrant
wood sauna with a deep warm pool and a cold pool outside, and good-tasting
water to drink from a cold spring.
