We saw more of the Englischer
Garten, such as the huge biergarten at the Chinese
tower, as we biked to Olympiapark,
site of the 1972 Olympics.
Later we went to the end-of-the-school-year Abschlussfest (farewell
party) at Simon's kindergarten, Judische Volkschule Munchen "Sinai." The
children had been rehearsing for weeks. They presented an elaborate program
of songs and poems about the four seasons in German and Hebrew, with cute
costumes, colorful props and precise choreography.

Simon and his cousin, Aaron,
were in kindergarten together all year.
After Abschlussfest we all went to dinner at Wirtshaus
in der Au with Aaron's parents (Keith & Regine) and Regine's parents.
Regine is German, and Keith (Bonnie's brother) has lived in Germany 17
years. |
